Chapters 3,4,5 and 6 deal Micropropagation in Plants, Protoplast culture, Somatic embryogenesis Principles, Concepts and application and Somaclonal and Gametoclonal variant selection respectively. Cell Culture, Plant tissue culture, Crop improvement and Transgenic Plants are described in Chapters 7,8,9,10 and 11 respectively. Chapters 12, 13 and 14 related to Biotechnology and its relation with crop improvement in India, in forestry and nitrogen fixation and plant productivity, respectively. Chapters 15,16,17 and 18 discuss the applications of biotechnology to human health, while Chapter 19 and 20 deals with utilization of Biotechnology in saving biodiversity, and utilization of enzymes as bio-accelerators, respectively. Although, Chapter 22 is devoted to economic utilization of micro-organisms. Applications of enzymes for the generation of products/services is described in Chapters 22,23,24,25,26 and 27 deal with the contributions of biotechnology to foods and beverages, fuels, and environmental management respectively. Nine appendixes of glossary related to practical approaches of tissue culture procedures.
